July is Bible Month.
Choose any Sunday or every Sunday in July to celebrate and explore the Bible with children.
Bible Sunday Resources
Bible Month is a great time to encourage children to read the Bible. To help with this, we’ve produced this five week session plan with a Bible story and key theme each week (we’ve added a spare week just in case you need it!). You can use The Big Little Bible to share the story each week. We’ve also included the key verse on each illustration for colouring in. The Bible Society of NZ
Each week features a key Bible story taken from The Big Little Bible (but you can use any Bible). The stories explore key messages including trusting in God, keeping your eyes on Jesus and saying thanks to God. The aim is to demonstrate how we can learn from the Bible.
You can use these each week or create a Bible pack for kids to take away (or work on at church) on your designated Bible Sunday.
If you’d like to use the five week bible lessons, the Bible Society will send you a free copy of The Big Little Bible to use with the sessions. During Bible Month, you’ll also be able to purchase more copies for just $9 each (normally $19.99).

I celebrated and explored the Bible with the children of St Heliers Presbyterian Church recently and share my children’s talk (and a variation of it that I’ve used in the past) and a “Sunday School” lesson. Jill Kayser
